The Winter Nexus With Eve Online

I, personally, love most of the events that Eve Online does for their players. The Winter Nexus is no exception. I did although have a bit of a harder time trying to figure out which ship to use for this event. I couldn’t figure out which ship had the best overall tank to be able to withstand all of the incoming damage from the Sansha’s Nation vessels.

I did start out with the Praxis, which is a good ship overall for just about any player that has the skills to be able to use. The Praxis is very versatile because you can fit it with guns or missiles, have it shield or armor tanked and it has a lot of mid and lower slots to fit it exactly how you want to.

For me, the only issues I had were that it took forever to lock onto enemy vessels, like any other battleship, but it took a lot of damage from these ships, which I had a harder time trying to replace tank with an extra large shield booster. While fitting the extra large shield booster to use for this event, I had way too many slots taken up by modules to supply more power for the booster and I couldn’t fit more modules for resistance to the incoming damage.

It was at this point that I started to mess around with one of my Tengus to see what it could do and I was surprised. Not only could I have a shield booster, but I could make a fit to actually make it stable while also adding resists for the incoming damage.

Now this fit works! At least for me and how I use it during the event. It is stable, but you have to be a bit careful when doing the combat sites, because under sever cap neuting, it can be an issue. I solved this by just turning on the booster as I needed it and didn’t just keep the module running the entire time.

Let me know what you have been using and how you have fitted your ships, for these event site in the comments below.
