All the videogame trailers and announcements from June 2022’s lineup of livestreams.

There’s technically no E3 this year, but you’d be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Sony has already announced Spider-Man is coming to PC and Resident Evil 4 is being remade, and we saw a bunch of games at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest on Thursday.
There’s much more still to come. To name a few, Guerilla Collective and the Future Games Show are on Saturday, and the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase and PC Gaming Show are on Sunday. Here’s the full 2022 not-E3 schedule.
In this article, we’ll be collecting all the big games that show up during this announcement- and reveal-heavy period, updating it frequently over the course of this week and next. As we wait for all of the shows to happen, we’ve included some speculative entries: games we think we’ll see, or have heard will show up this year. We’ll add the actual reveals after they happen, and move no-shows off the list.
The PlayStation State of Play event aired Thursday. You can watch the full archived stream on Twitch.
The Callisto Protocol
What is it? Dead Space co-creator Glen Schofield is back with a new team, and a new game that looks… very Dead Space. Given that the Dead Space series became what it did, that’s quite refreshing.
When’s it out? December 2.
Is it coming to PC? Yes.
What’s new? Two trailers, one from Sony’s State of Play above, and one from Summer Game Fest.
Final Fantasy 16
What is it? The next mainline Final Fantasy game, in which we’re pleased to find that someone is finally questioning the benevolence of those damn crystals
When’s it out? Summer 2023.
Is it coming to PC? We hope so! There were some early rumblings about it, but Square Enix has been pretty quiet since then. Almost every main series FF has made its way to PC eventually, including the recent FF7 Remake. It can sometimes take a while, though.
What’s new? We got to see quite a bit of flashy, action-packed gameplay that seems to be taking the series to a new level in terms of presentation. There’s also a lot of moody dialogue and proper nouns that don’t make a ton of sense without context. You know, JRPG stuff.
Resident Evil 4 Remake
What is it? A remake of 2005’s Resident Evil 4, the one that more or less changed everything.
When’s it out? March 24, 2023.
Is it coming to PC? All the other REmakes have, so probably.
What’s new? It was announced. We got quite the sizzle reel of a teaser trailer showing off some familiar moments… and some less familiar ones. Some consider RE4 fairly close to a perfect game and not nearly as in need of a full remake as its predecessors, so a nice, shiny remaster might have done the trick. We’re anxious to see just how “reimagined” it will be.
Spider-Man Remastered
What is it? The formerly PlayStation-exclusive Spider-Man game from Insomniac, now coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store in a Remastered PC edition.
When’s it out? August 12.
Is it coming to PC? Yep, this is the PC edition of a PlayStation game that came out in 2018. It seems like every PlayStation-exclusive is going to become a PC game now—it just takes a few years. Sony announced that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is also coming to PC.
What’s new? The PC announcement.
Stray
What is it? Annapurna’s latest, developed by BlueTwelve Studio, in which you play as a cat who is running around in a world of very sad robots. You should already know if you’re in or out.
When’s it out? July 19.
Is it coming to PC? Yes.
What’s new? The State of Play trailer above.
Street Fighter 6
What is it? The next fighting game in the genre’s best-known series.
When’s it out? Next year.
What did we see? The reveal trailer above, which shows off a first for Street Fighter: an “immersive single player story mode” with light Yakuza vibes.
Is it coming to PC? Yep, it’s coming to Steam.
COD REVEAL
The new Modern Warfare 2 trailer says “the ultimate weapon is team,” and yet rather than revealing the new Call of Duty as part of a bigger, shared event, Activision chose to just reveal the trailer on its own. Pssh, so much for teamwork. (OK, it did show up at the Summer Game Fest, too.)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
What is it? The sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), not Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2007).
When’s it out? October 28.
What did we see? The reveal trailer, and then a longer gameplay trailer at the Summer Game Fest, embedded above.
Is it coming to PC? Yes.
SUMMER GAME FEST
The Summer Game Fest encompasses lots of events, but the main one is its big showcase, which streamed on Thursday, June 9. The full event can be viewed on YouTube.
What is it? A tactics RPG from the same team that brought us XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2, in which we befriend and command various Marvel heroes to cancel the end of the world with turn-based combat.
When’s it out? October 7.
Is it coming to PC? Yup.
What’s new? The release date, Spider-Man, the trailer above. We have a hands-on preview, too.
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course
What is it? DLC for Cuphead, the platformer about the tragedy of having a cup for a head.
When’s it out? June 30.
Is it coming to PC? Yup.
What’s new? The gameplay trailer above.
Aliens: Dark Descent
What is it? A new “squad-based action” Aliens game from Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive.
When’s it out? 2023.
Is it coming to PC? Yup.
What’s new? The announcement. So, everything.
Flashback 2
What is it? A sequel to a 30-year-old cinematic platformer, which was remade in 2013.
When’s it out? Winter 2022.
Is it coming to PC? Yup.
What’s new? The release window was announced.
Witchfire
What is it? An FPS from The Astronauts.
When’s it out? “Soon,” in early access.
Is it coming to PC? Yup, on the Epic Games Store (Steam later).
What’s new? The trailer above, and early access release announcement.
Fort Solis
What is it? A singleplayer space thriller set on Mars.
When’s it out? “Soon”.
Is it coming to PC? Yup, on Steam.
What’s new? It was announced.
Routine
What is it? A horror game set on the moon. We last saw it in 2013, so it’s been a while.
When’s it out? No date yet.
Is it coming to PC? Yup, Steam and Game Pass.
What’s new? It was “re-revealed”.
